To keep the paint around your plate from getting scratched, do what I did... Instead of goinng screw, then plate, then paint...go to the nearest ACE Hardware or whatever, and buy two new shiny screws just about a centimeter longer than stockers, and two nuts that the screw can fit through(the screw won't screw into the nuts, they are just acting as spacers to go between the plate and the paint, and are better than using a washers, cause washers would mess up more paint). Anyways, now when you go put the plate on, put the nuts behind the two holes on the plate, and put the screws through the plate and obviously through the nuts, and apply to car. So you will have top of screw, then plate, then nut, then paint. This wil keep the plate nice and raised off of the paint, to avoid any visible scratches from maybe popping up after having the plater rub on the paint for a while. And it is still held there perfectly secure. Gotta go the extra mile with everything to have a nice pretty car :) have fun man. I can't wait till mine gets back out. progress is slow and killllllllling me!!!!!
